After Richa Chadha-Payal Ghosh Settle Defamation Dispute, Latter Says ‘My Settlement Was A Step Over A Pebble To Move Towards The Main Goal’
Recently, Richa Chadha and Payal Ghosh have told Bombay High Court that they have amicably settled the defamation case. Now, Payal Ghosh has said that her settlement was merely a step over a pebble to move towards the main goal
Richa Chadha had filed a defamation case against Payal Ghosh after the latter dragged her name in the Anurag Kashyap controversy. Payal had accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct, and in an interview, she had brought up the names of Richa Chadha, Mahie Gill, and Huma Qureshi. Richa Chadha filed a lawsuit against Payal after that for falsely dragging her name in the controversy. It was recently reported that Richa and Payal told Bombay High Court that they have amicably settled their dispute and filed consent terms. Following this, Payal has reportedly withdrawn her statement and also tendered an apology.
Now, after the settlement, Payal has said that it was merely a step over a pebble to move towards the main goal. Trade analyst Komal Nahata had tweeted, “Richa Chadda gets unconditional apology from Payal Ghosh for speaking filth about the former. Congratulations @RichaChadha for setting an example! And Payal, please think ten times before playing with reputations next time.” Replying to this, Payal Ghosh wrote how unfortunate it was that people jumped to conclusions without knowing the facts of the case.
She tweeted, “It is unfortunate that people jump to conclusion and start applauding without knowing the facts of the case. My amicable settlement was just a step over a pebble to move towards the main goal.”

Our consent term with certain conditions has been finalised, filed & accepted by Hon’ble High Court as an amicable settlement. No one wins no one lost. It’s a case of win-win.
